I asked if there was a BOD room in SHIFT20. This might be the right spot to candidly conspire, commiserate, compliment or comment. -KL BOD

Hi Ken! That's definitely important, and I believe Christie reached out to you this morning via email regarding this.

Feedback from a zoom room: Member said he attended a few online conferences during COVID, and this IFT meeting is by far the best organized and most interesting. It is nice to be able to discuss the subject with the people in the room without interrupting the speaker.

Good idea to start a discussion here Ken! It would be absolutely wonderful to hear from our attendees which parts of our mission and vision resonate most.

That's a great idea, Stacy. Which parts of our mission and vision resonate the most with you? Perhaps a promise or a core value?

I think the Vision is spot-on with the "safe, nutritious, food supply for everyone". I also really like the wording of the Network promise with "debate & create" both of which we can do more of!

Spot-on? Respectfully disagree. Our vision makes no mention of food security, although several board members say we need food for billions. Sensory is not mentioned even though it is the primary reason people pick a food and why members join IFT. This is a simple edit introduced last year but we have made a decision by inaction.

A world where science and innovation are universally accepted as essential to a safe, secure, nutritious, delicious and sustainable food supply for everyone.
