Want to have a personal conversation with sales and technical experts from ingredient companies? Collect some up-to-date new product information? Glean insights into ingredient applications? Watch a professional chef demonstrate how to create on-trend menu items?

It’s all possible at the SHIFT20 virtual food expo, which showcases hundreds of providers of products, services, and solutions.

And one of the best things about the virtual expo (along with the fact that it doesn’t require comfortable shoes), is the fact that attendees can access exhibitor information for six months after the live portion concludes on Wednesday, July 15. It’s also simple to take notes on individual exhibitors, send follow-up emails, and more.

Here’s a sneak peek at what some of this year’s virtual exhibitors are showcasing.

American Egg Board
Education is a substantial part of the American Egg Board’s (AEB) mission, and to fulfill this mission during SHIFT20, the AEB is sharing a number of product development resources. Most notable is a new white paper, “Gen Z: A New Generation to Feed,” which examines the impact this highly diverse (48% non-Caucasian) cohort is having on the food and beverage industry. Gen Z (aged 8–23) represents more than a quarter (26%) of the American population. More than previous generations, these unintentional foodies will influence food innovation because of their concern about where food is sourced and how it’s produced.

Also available from the AEB is the EggPro curriculum—a professional development course with an e-learning module on egg functionality and the science behind it. Specifically designed for food scientists and culinologists, the course was created by AEB in collaboration with Rouxbe Global Food Group, an online culinary school. DDW The Color House
The newest additions to DDW’s line of organic colors are in the SHIFT20 spotlight. The color house’s organic colors provide the same vibrant hues as its natural colors but offer a premium, simple label. Videos will demonstrate the functionality and physical properties of GPC’s MALTRIN carbohydrates. And GPC experts will share insights into how to carry aqueous and non-aqueous ingredients using PURE-DENT B730 modified food starch.
