My lab has studied the impact of the high pressure jet on a variety of dairy systems (skim milk, whole milk, skim milk powder, chocolate milk, ice cream) and we are beginning to investigate plant proteins. Let me know if you would like more information about any of these applications!

The presentation was excellent! May I know what type of restriction valve was used and its flow path. and if it can be adjusted. I heard something like diamond valve, but i might be wrong. Good luck on the research.

Thank you, Jerish! A diamond orifice with a pore size of 10 µm was used. These orifices are available in a variety of sizes so, although each individual nozzle cannot be adjusted, you can buy a range of sizes depending on your application. If you are interested in looking more into this system, it is a modified Hyperjet 94i-S pump system (Flow Internationals Corp., Kent, WA).
